on pumpkin patches.

there are always ideas passing in & out of my head.
sometimes they work.
sometimes they don't.

when it comes to baking, sewing, crocheting...well, pretty much crafting in general i tend to be pretty adventuresome with my ideas.

the idea was to make a pumpkin patch of cupcakes for our halloween soiree. perhaps the idea was flawed from the start. or perhaps i did not execute it in the best way. whatever the problem was this is the result.
cute? perhaps...
but it did not turn out the way that i planned.

oh well, there's always next halloween, right?

things like this make me laugh at myself, in a good way.

in other news:
reid came to visit & lent me an addiction.
"Here, There, and Everywhere; The 100 Best Beatles Songs".
I cannot put it down. What is it with those guys? They are hypnotizing.
Sidenote: Paul is belting out "Jude, Jude, Judy, Judy, Judy!!!!" in my ear as I type.
what a dreamboat.

oh, and i also met nick hornby this weekend.
that was fun.
should i post the photo from our meeting? maybe i will.

stay tuned.
always,
camille.

p.s. na, na, na, na, na, na, na!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! na, na, na, na....hey jude.

on tea.

in addition from its many health benefits, tea is wonderful.

green is my preferred tea, however i have a cupboard full of varying types. jasmine, black, zen, chamomille, british breakfast...to name a few. my choice of tea depends on my mood. most often, as i mentioned before, it falls on green. it's perfect.

usually i make hot tea. it is soothing. and it is easier to savor every sip. sometimes (rarely) i crave iced tea. only sometimes.

i know that some of the readers (alicia, kyle, whitney) have been to various asian countries. i ask you now, how was the tea? did you try it? please share!

if you are not a fan of tea i urge you to give it another try. maybe you had it when you were younger, and it wasn't quite the right time. perhaps you have only tried herbal and you are actually more of a flowery type. if you did not like cold try it hot, or vice versa. (i am not really a fan of the phrase "vice versa"...i just realized that.) i have quite a collection. come on over, and have a cup with me!

blackbird singing in the dead of night.

it has recently become painfully apparent that we have a bit of a bird situation going on at my house. i attribute most of it to allison. what can i say? the ol' bird likes birds. almost every room in my house has been commandeered by at least one bird. you can find them nesting in various nooks and crannies. at least they aren't messy.
