there are always ideas passing in & out of my head.sometimes they work.
sometimes they don't.
when it comes to baking, sewing, crocheting...well, pretty much crafting in general i tend to be pretty adventuresome with my ideas.
the idea was to make a pumpkin patch of cupcakes for our halloween soiree. perhaps the idea was flawed from the start. or perhaps i did not execute it in the best way. whatever the problem was this is the result.
cute? perhaps...
but it did not turn out the way that i planned.
oh well, there's always next halloween, right?
things like this make me laugh at myself, in a good way.
in other news:
reid came to visit & lent me an addiction.
"Here, There, and Everywhere; The 100 Best Beatles Songs".
I cannot put it down. What is it with those guys? They are hypnotizing.
Sidenote: Paul is belting out "Jude, Jude, Judy, Judy, Judy!!!!" in my ear as I type.

oh, and i also met nick hornby this weekend.
that was fun.
should i post the photo from our meeting? maybe i will.

The pumpkin patch looks scrumptious! But I completely understand wha tyou mean by not having your mental plan flourish into fruition. It's frustrating. The same thing happened to me last week. WE had a door decorating contest & I had an amazing idea to use bats and have them fluttering around the door. Well, in the end it was just tape and paper. Very disappointing.
