happy days.

components of my day(s):

oh shoes, you have served me well.  however, i feel that the time has come for us to part ways.  you may not have known it, but i've known for quite some time that today's run (12 miles, eek) would be our last.  sure we've had our share of times, both good and bad.  quite frankly it's been a roller coaster of emotions.  but i feel at this point in my life that i need a newer, younger pair to fulfill my running needs.  i hope that you can understand.  farewell, dear friends.  run free on that big track in the sky.
as if i did not have enough vices in this fair city...
a co-worker and i have founded a 'discerning palates' club who's operations consist of us making a trip to sprinkles cupcakes every friday on our lunch break.  we each choose a cuppy & split them in order to maximize our taste-testing.  then, of course, we rate them on a scale of 1-5.  so far the clear winner is pumpkin, followed closely by red velvet & strawberry.  is there a dark horse out there ready to steal our hearts (& stomachs)?  stay tuned.

i have started another month of bikram yoga.  hot yoga is something that you either love or hate.  i think that my feelings are apparent.  go on, give it a try.  it's fantastic!

now, it's off to the tracks to watch the weinie races!  multiple dashing dachshunds competing for glory & fame.  my money is on the best combination of strong hind quarters & lengthy snout.  oh, those hounds have a way of burrowing into your heart.

it's always for the newer & younger. those poor guys. they've been there to support you through so much and didn't expect this day to come.

The weinie races look like so much fun!

Do you have to wait in a crazy line every time you go to Sprinkles? After waiting 30 minutes, I caved and bought 6 at one time. My favorite was the lemon coconut!

Camille -- you have such a distinct way of writing! I like it.

I loved this line, it was so sweet:
"run free on that big track in the sky."

So I love Sprinkles! But they taste very similar to Crave. Is it just me??

Bikram -- LOVE IT! Good for you. Goooood for you!
