sorting, seating & sharing.

i am currently sorting through the pages that i tear from magazines according to what inspires me, and i came across this delicate table setting. the subdued hues of these romantic colors transports me to another era.

i think that i will file this page under 'victorian valor' in my archives.

following a conversation that i had with chih-ping (a co-worker) during our team lunch last friday, he surprised me with a portion of the dinner that he & his wife made last night. chih-ping was sharing his chinese-vegetarian recipes with me, and he was thoughtful enough to save a sample for me to taste-test. it was a delicious pressed bean curd with parsley, sesame oil & a few other ingredients. light & tasty! though chih-ping (and i assume his wife as well) are quite health conscious, i said thank you with a bag of homemade chocolate chip cookies. i snuck in some nutella & cinnamon as a special treat to satisfy their sweet tooth.

it was such a nice day.

yesterday i was daydreaming about what i was going to do with all of my free time in s.e. texas this fall, and thought about being able to drive to houston and make delicious vegetarian dinners with you... so excited about being in such close proximity!

(1) WHY have I not tried these cookies? PLEASE, please, can I try one?

(2) What do you do with the articles you save? How do you file them? I'm having this problem where I find things that I want to save because they inspire me somehow, but haven't found a good way to store/save them. Any ideas?
