while i am very aware that attempting to recount my favorite moments of the past weekends is an ambitious feet, i feel that it is worthwhile to take a shot at it! if you were not in attendance, we missed you. whether you know the bride/groom/family or not--it was an event that should not have been missed!
highlights:
- accomplishing a fro: a long-time dream of mine became a (semi)-reality as my hairdresser gave me an unruly mane of hair prior to taming it into an elegant 'do. magical!
- tequila: no explanation needed (still, suffice it to say--melissa did not make it to the cutting of the cake...and will NEVER live it down).
- dancing: for 8 hours. calves sore for days. feet black from the ground. more fist-pumping than i care to admit. culminating in a poetic rendition of 'bohemian rhapsody' by the bride's father & sister. classic.
- amy's toast: after a few tequila shots (or gulps?), amy used the word 'spectacular' to describe her sister exactly 8 times. that is 7 more times than she has used the word in her entire life.
- granny & pawpaw dancing: my grandparents, who have been married for 57 years, stayed on the dance floor almost the entire night (pictured above). beautiful.
i'll be taking a quick trip to ny this week! any tips/tricks/suggestions? i'm on a hunt for a mini empire state building for my desk.
bzzz, the laundry is finished.
i miss you, peeps.
