all you need is love (4).

finally, it certainly would not be valentine's day without a card from my forever valentine, my dad.  since i can remember he has been giving me cards for valentine's day.  he lovingly chooses just the right card, and scribbles a touching note in his 'best' handwriting.
of course he never forgets his signature 'heart-with-the-arrow' sign-off.  and the card is not complete without the date on the back, hand-written.

i have a box full of these notes from my dad.  it reminds me that no matter what, i will always have him on valentine's day, and this means the world to me.

'lol'.

all you need is love (2).

hello cutie!
this old fashioned valentine came from my grandparents, granny & pawpaw.
though granny's birthday is fittingly on valentine's day (she is, quite literally, the sweetest woman in the entire world), without fail she & pawpaw choose to shift the focus and send their love to their grandchildren on this special day.

it's a tradition that i hold very dear.

love.

all you need is love (1).

yikes!  life has been quite busy as of late.
a bit delayed, but i would love to share my valentine treasures with you.

just look at the tiniest letter with an even tinier wax seal. small in size, but large in love!

(the safety pin is to illustrate scale.  have i been working around geologists for too long?)

thanks allison!
