the name game.

i realize that "camille" is not the most common of names. i would not expect anyone to spell my name correctly upon hearing it (well, perhaps a native french...or someone with a particular interest in french culture/language), even then, not necessarily expected. that being said, it's always a small victory when i give my name to the hostess at chuy's, or the cashier at jamba juice, and i see that perfect spelling smiling back at me. i feel a sense of pride!

here is a list of some spellings that have been of particular interest over the years:
kuhmeel
kamoyl (what?)
camil (so close)
cameal
cammile (my personal favorite, and surprisingly the most common)

however, never have i had someone mangle the spelling so beyond recognition that i had to immortalize the mistake in a photo, and then blog about it...until that blazing august day:

seriously?

your's in name,
cuh-meal.

p.s. thanks huy-khoi for help with my camera to computer "problem". mad props.

technical difficulties.

hello,

i promise that i am not full of empty promises.

i have about 3 blogs written in my head that warrant photo components. sadly, there are some technical difficulties occurring between myself and my camera. until then...it's boring, photo-less blogging for me. (which i do not think is very entertaining. my writing cannot stand alone like other blogs, it needs a little something extra).

nathan, please help!

unexpected art.

while taking a walk on my street i found a spill gone terribly right:

i really do love my neighborhood. i've seen white footprints in random places up and down persa.

it's friday. get your freakum dress on!

with love,

i'm back.

apologies for the extended break. i have recently acquired two crucial tools for efficient blogging:

1. a valid internet connection. we have gone a year "borrowing" our neighbor's internet, but it is time to take the plunge.
2. this treasure...

hooray!
